Proof of Payment

There are many writing jobs online but it's another thing if the job is really paying. Here's a proof that iWriter is really paying. After writing some articles during my free time, I earned my first $32 from them.

iWriter Payment Options

So far, the only option to receive payment from iWriter is via Paypal. 

The writer chooses the period when to receive the pay. Here are the payment periods to choose from:

• weekly (every Tuesday)
• bi-weekly (every other Wednesday)
• monthly (either 5th or 25th of the month)

I'd chosen to receive my payment bi-weekly. After writing for two weeks, I got my first payment on June 19.

iWriter For Newbies: How To Start Writing

I recommended iWriter to some friends and the next question they ask me is how they can start writing.

Writer Type: Standard Writer

For a newbie, he is initially set as " Standard" for Writer Type. It means he or she can only write articles that are under this category. 

For your first five articles, you need to have the following:

• Focus - you are out there to prove you're a good writer so focus on your article and make sure you follow the instructions of your requester.
• Good writing skills - if you are a decent writer, you can earn well in iWriter. Better start showing how good you are from the start
• Patience - You need to wait 40 minutes after submitting your article. Once you get five reviews, you don't have to wait anymore for your next job. 

Let's navigate the homepage of a Standard writer:

Once logged in to iWriter.com, you will see from the upper part of the page the following:

• Home
• Get Content
• Write Content
• About
• FAQ 
• Contact

To start writing, click "Write Content"



Navigate to the page, since you're new, you can only pick article requests for "Standard" Writer Type.

TIP: Since you are just building your reputation, please pick articles who are requested by clients with 65% to 100% approval rating. Sometimes, client won't give a good reason why your article is rejected so better stick to those with good reputations. If you are lucky, you can even receive tips from your client.

To expand the request click the "+" icon. Read the "Special Instructions" and, if you think, you are the right person for the article, click "Write Article" 

While writing your article, make sure that you follow the instructions of the client. Most of them will just reject your article if you did not follow and that's enough reason for them to give you three or worst one-star rating.

You are given limited time to write an article. Make sure you finish your article within the given time. Also, you need to wait for an hour to write your next article if you have less than five reviews. Here's a list of the article length, price and allotted hours:

150-word article ($1.01) - 2 hours
300-word article ($1.62) - 2 hours
400-word article ($2.03) - 3 hours
500-word article ($2.43) - 3 hours
700-word article ($4.03) - 4 hours
1000-word article ($6.08) - 5 hours

In order to be promoted to Elite or Premium Writer, you need to have 30 reviews with an average of 4.4 to 4.6 stars. Once promoted, you will enjoy higher earnings from every article you write. For example, an Elite Writer can earn as much as $24.30 for a 1000-word article.

Also, if your client likes your work, he or she can make a special request so you exclusively write 
for his or her articles. Here's a capture of my first special request:

Looking for Online Opportunity?

I am not perfect with English grammar. I can't even claim that I am a talented article writer. However, I am aware of the great opportunities available online and I do not want to miss it.  I know that becoming an online article writer as a part-time job is my stepping stone. In fact, after all these years, I have learned a lot but I still need the time and motivation to move further and grab the best online opportunities.

Online Writing Services vs. Direct Clients

I missed the old days where I am just writing articles for this local website and I could pick the topic I liked or I was interested. The editors were not so strict as long as my grammar was good and I did not plagiarized. But, I moved on and looked for other opportunities. On my last check on them, they are closed.

I can pick the topic I want to write about and the client will approve or disapprove it. iWriter.com will credit the payment to your account.

I've been writing for them for the past month and so far I got good reviews and most clients are easy to please. On my next post, I'll share if I get a payment.

Anyway, here are the basic steps to join:

1. Register here: iWriter.com and fill out the necessary information. 
2. You should have a Paypal account. If you don't have any, you can check out my post here.
3. Do your first five articles (every 40 mins). Aim to get 5-star reviews. On my next post, I will give tips how to get five-star reviews.
4. After your five articles, you can continuously write articles as long as you want.

As a standard writer, you will earn:

$2.43 = 500-word
$1.06 = 300-word
$1.01 = 100-word

Update: After 30 reviews, I am now an ELITE writer. Sample payment for each article: 

$8.10 = 500-word

$6.48 = 300-word

$16.20 = 1000-word

The amount depends on the client but it is at least 2x more than the price of standard articles.

You can write at your own pace. However, the main goal is to get 30 good reviews so you can be promoted to Premium and Elite writers. Once promoted to elite or premium writer, your earnings will be higher. 

Again, you need to have the talent and dedication. No article spinning or plagiarism. If you do, your account will be blocked and all your previous earnings which you haven't withdrawn yet will be discarded. Poor reviews (3 stars or lower) can also block your account.

Article Rewriting: How to Manage Rewriting Many Articles.

Article Rewriting is My First Real Online Job

Many people are earning good amount of money through Internet either by selling goods or their services. However, some are just earning enough to add in to their daily income and I am one of those people. I actually don't have a regular online job or "racket." When I feel the need (I need extra cash) or boredom (I'm  tired of playing online games), I look for a part-time stint and one of my favorite easy online jobs is article rewriting. 

I like article rewriting for many reasons. The first time I had this work from home online job was in 2010. It became my first full-time and legitimate online job. I had to rewrite as many articles as I can within eight hours. My dear employer back then had the patience to let me adjust to my new role. At first day, I just re-wrote four 400-word article. It was terrible. Not a good start for me. After a week, I could submit eight to ten articles per day. 

How To Manage Time When I Rewrite Articles

My employer told me that he expected me to finish at least one 400- to 500-word article per hour as an article rewriter online. My work day started at 8:00 AM and ended at 5:00 PM. Even if I had to work eight hours per day, I could not finish at least eight articles. I knew I had to change something about my work habit and my writing style. So here are the adjustments I made:

• Since I am a morning person--- meaning I'm refreshed, more energized in the early morning, I wake up at 5:00 am to start my Internet job. For the first two hours, I can write three to four articles. Then, I would rest my eyes, ate breakfast and took a bath.
• At 8:00 am, I would re-write my next three articles and would take a break at 11:00 am. At this point, I would be bored or sleepy. So, I would leave my desk and do other things like watch TV or clean the house. I would eat my lunch between 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM.  This is one of the things I love when I work from home!
• At 1:30 PM, I would write my last one or last two articles. I would make sure that I would be finished at 3:00 PM.
• I would go back to my desk at 4:30 PM to proofread all the rewritten articles and would submit them to my employer.

My Advice

Some people can do more than I can within eight hours. It all depends on your skill, your client's demands and your work quality. So, you ask yourself: Do you want to sacrifice quality over quantity? I wanted to deliver good article rewrites for my employer so I took
my time when I do this online job. My client also wanted good rewrites so I did not rush and I had to used my other available hours to complete my job.

With the way I managed my time to rewrite articles, I could guarantee well-written and duplicate-free articles. Also, I was able to rewrite articles faster after several months in the job. So aside from delivering good rewrites, I could make more of them to make my boss happier.  The key is time management.

Of course, since I was able to developed the skill of article rewriting, I can now use it for other rewriting jobs. Remember, rewriting is also a skill which you can use as an investment.
